This started out as a loving sort of sketch in my sketchbook from a while back, but I decided to make it a bit more sinister. This was mostly an excercise in texture control. I tried a monochrome wash, and tried to control the colours with pencils and gouache. The white was fun, playing with texture purely with the white paint. the way the wolf's teeth came out made it look like he/she is missing teeth, not to mention that bunny's belly *sigh*
I was going to put in a background, but I made the mistake of leaving out the background wash to concentrate in the figures. Although there are a lot of mistakes in this, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Wow...this is amazing. There is so much life and expression in it, and it somehow looks both cartoonish and realistic at the same time. I love the fur texture, too. Definite favourite.
