Based on the poem "Oscar After-All"

For 28 years, the same as always
The answer forever "no"
Never for heels, or dead skin that peels
Or lips painted like Cupid's Bow

My posture is poor, storklike indeed
They think it's because of my slouch
But truth be told, in most honest terms
It's from having sex on the couch

They say that I'm pompous, and yet insecure
And "aesthetic" is no way to be
For looks are a byproduct of genes and denial
And stolid-sweet functionality

The grass may grow greener on enamels of teeth
When you drink tinctures of bromine and lead
But flowers will bloom on the floor of my room
When all of it kills me dead

Until then I lie waiting, and hesitating
Pumps patter out in the hall
A ghost in knee-breeches and silken cravats
I'm really "Oscar, after-all..."
