IF EXITING OVERWORLD ENGINE DOESN'T WORK, RIGHT CLICK AND CHOOSE "REWIND". THAT GLITCH IS CAUSED BY SHEEZY.

Demo that shows the basic structure for battle engine and overworld movement in a flash game called "The Gate to Gondelia".

Nothing big shown here. Animation isn't the best because I didn't want to bother much with this demo.

How things work:

Attributes:
STR = Strength, basic attack effiency.
ACC = Accuracy, enanches basic attack accuracy (and in full game affects the possibility of critical attacks).
INT = Intelligence, channeling attack effiency.
SPR = Spirit, effiency for healing channels.
DEF = Defence, character's resitance for physical attacks.
Speed = Action Cauge refill speed.

You can only change STR, INT and SPR attributes in this demo.

Battle
-LIMIT BAR DOES NOT DO WORTH ANYTHING IN THIS DEMO. Just fill it if you want, by letting the enemy hit you enough. Less HP you have when enemy attacks, the more it fills. In full game when it's 100%, it grants you the possibility to do a powerful Limit attack.

-The percentage with red glow indicates how much you have skill points to spare in your Action Cauge. When you perform an attack: sufficient amount of Action Cauge percentage must be present to do so.

-The mugshot in the lower right corner is Emotion System which shows what's the character's current emotion in battle. At the moment I have only programmed it so, that if your HP goes down below 30% of the Max HP, you enter "Rage" emotion, which increases your strength by 10 and increases Action Cauge percentage refill speed. Your speed and strength return to normal once you heal yourself enough. In full game there will be ones like "Poisoned" which makes you lose HP gradually and also lowers your stats and other ones.

-The more Action Percentage percentage you have, the MORE EFFECTIVE your attacks are! If your Action Cauge is at 100%, and then you perform basic melee attack: the attack power of it is increased!

Battle skills in this demo:
Attack: just a typical physical attack.
Heal: Lv 1 healing channel.
Flame: Lv 1 channel attack of fire.
Bolt: Lv 1 channel attack of electricity.
Tri Slash: Does three consuctive slashes with random damage from 0 to 1.5 times more powerful normal attack.

Overworld movement engine demo has everything already explained. Just move around freely and report any bugs beside the "bouncyness", which at the moment is done on purpose.

ok, to start off, this is one of the best idea's for a battle sequence that i have ever seen!!!! second of all, i cant wait for the real version to come out, you should put it in computer game form and sell it once its fully done. Third, the only problem i had was in the movement screen, it says that you have to press enter to exit that screen, that is not working. It is, however, no big deal. the attacks and the character are very cool, and i can't wait to see what you can fight. Amazing job, if you need someone to market the finished product, give me a call! (possible kidding, maybe not, all depends how you take the comment.)^^;

I actually liked playing this, it's like.. real time turn based.
Similar to Final Fantasy IV for DS, which I loved.
I'm pretty sure you're aware with the errors on the overworld soooo...
