Dragonfly: Ch6 Training
The Next morning I heard a scream, I looked up and Alex up on my highest shelf in my room.
“Huh... what the? Alex why are you screaming, and why are you up there,” I ask while getting up, and rubbing my eyes ?
“Becouse of that,”
Alex pointed and I turned around looking at Nightmare
" huh... oh yeah that's my dragon I named her Nightmare.” I said turning back to Alex
“Well at lest it's living up to its name.”
"Alex that's not nice, Nightmare come hear,”
Night mare jumped off my bed and ran up to me like a little puppy. As I picked her up Alex moved back a little.
“See she's not that bad"
“Yeah till it bites your noise off,"
Alex complaned and I sighed.
“Do you want her to bite your nose off,” I ask putting Nightmare closer to Alex’s face? Alex shock her head.
“No,”
I smiled the fact Nightmare was scaring her
"then get down hear," I said putting Nightmare down “fine, but it’s only a baby, and you need a full grown dragon don't you?”
she ask while she was getting down.
“Yeah, and that's why im going to train with her today"
“on what?” Winy ask getting up, and rubbing her eyes.
“Well I can work on my magic, how to use my sword since my training is supposed to be the hardest. Pluse we only have four days left so if you guys don't mind im going to teach Nightmare how to fly.” I said walking out of the room with Nightmare following me.
"You know she's right?” Winy said staring at Alex, and Alex just glaring at Winy
"yeah I know," Alex said folding her arms and sitting next to Winy.
“Good morning Clair,” Ms. Amidic, my step mother said walking out of the kitchen. Even though im not related to her by bloody, I still do think of her as my mom.
"hi, ma what’s that?" I asked
She was holding a big box that looked like it had someone’s name on it? Ms. Amidic just smiled
“This just came for you girls” she said handing it to me and walking back to the kitchen.
"ok thanks,”
Ms. Amidic turns around and just smiles. I look around to see if any one else is watching and once I saw it was cleared I made a little flame on my finger, and opens the box.
" Um... I wonder what’s in hear huh..? I asked Nightmare as she stared to jump up, and down, and I couldn’t help, but laugh
"ok let's see hear.”
I reached inside the box, and brought out an outfit that had my name on it. I stared at it thinking these must be are close for that school.
“um.. they have are names on them I guess I could put mine on right now” I said to Nightmare as she shakes her head “yes”. I laughed patting nightmare on her head
" ok come on let's go try this on” I said walking to the closes bathroom as Nightmare follows me in to change.
(5 min's later.)
" Dame there comfy and they know my style to!” The front was black, and so were my boots, and pants the sleeves were red, and where my hips here it looked like I was wearing a dress. Just the way it flares out a little, that was red as well. As I stared to walk away nightmare followed me to the back door as we both walk out side to see what we could do. as I look around I came up with somthing.
"ok I guess the first thing to teach you is how to fly! Ok so can I see you flap your wings like this,” I started to flap my arms like a bird until Nightmare started to flap.
"ok now just keep that up” I told Nightmare as I picked her up, and started to run while Nightmare was still flapping her wings.
"Come on Nightmare you can do it!” when I finally let her go she started to fly away
"Yes we did it” I yelled putting my arms in the sky and falling down on the grown. As I looked around I couldn’t find Nightmare
"Huh... Nightmare were did you go?” I asked myself sitting back up... then out of no were I heard a big boom from behind me. When I looked there was Nightmare all huge and not so small.
“oh my god Nightmare is that you?” I ask her ask I got up and walking over to her? Nightmare shakes her head
“yes!”
“Dame you grew alot I guess I got nothing to teatch you since your full grown now!”
“Clair just becouse im grown up doesn’t mean we don't need to pratice,” I laughed then my eyes widen
"Whoa did you jest talk?"
“Yes, and so can other dragons oh, and before I forget hears you weapon,” night mare held out her hand and handed me a sword
“Awesome sword,” I said while taking it "yes it is every drigan rider gets his/her own magic, sword, and dragon of corse now ready to ride,”she ask wagging her tail?
“Huh.... sure,” I walked closer to her back
"ok then hop on my back," she said laying down
“ok,”I took a deep breath while getting on "are you ready?" “sure”
"ok then hear we go!"
“Aw...” I yelled , while closing my eye's,
" Clair you can open your eye's look at the view,” Nightmare suggeted "huh..hey where are we,” I ask looking around?
"At the school I jest thought I'll show you,”
"wow its big, what the? A ball comes flying at my face, but before it could I caught it
"where did this come from?”
“People must be the academy now!”
"ok well let's return it."
“Ok where did it come from,” Nightmare ask?
“Um.. right down there,”
I pointed even though I really didn’t know were it came form I only took a random guess
"Ok then hold on.”
Night mare took me down to see what was going on. It didn't take long till Nightmare and i landed in this forest....it was almost scary...well i know I wasn't going to let a little spokey place like this scare me. So i took a deep breath and carried on.
I quickly jumped off of Nightmare, and walked a head of her, just a little..like 5 feet.
"Ok I think it came from over hear,” after a while I heard some one yell, which made me turn my head quickly to my right.
“Hey you!”
A boy with brown spiky hair, with armor around his shoulders, knees down to his feet, and on his elbow to his wrist came out form behind the trees. He was also wearing mostly blue...and I had to admit he was actually kind of cute...ok so maybe not cute more like hot!
"huh...?" I said quickly before i was lost in his hazel green eyes.
“who are you?” he ask with a little shocked voice, but he also had a friendly smile on his face which made me want to melt in my shoes, but I didn't. I also didn't say anything..
“huh.. your new hear aren’t you?" he ask again.
i shock m head so i was able to speck, I just didn't want to should shy, or anything, so i tried sounding strong.
“Maybe, it's not any of you business,” I said snapping at him while leaning agents the nearest tree.
"wow hey I'm not hear to pick a fight." he said smiling, and staring at me
“what?” I said kind of in a kind voice, but also it sounded more husky.
“huh..oh um..nothing,” he said blushing a little and looking away. Which I thought was kind of cute. Just the fact he's being all shy around me, but it's nothing really new-- guys do this to me all the time.
“ok, well you probably want your ball back don't cha?” I held it up showing him the brown ball that kind of looked like to be a sockerball
“Yeah,” he said as he walked over to me, and I could feel my heart jumping, and pumping faster, and faster, but i stared calm.
"ok hear,” I tossed it to him, so he couldn't come any closer and I smiled.
I sighed and walked back over to Nightmare
" Well I better get going my team mates are probably wondering where im at,” I said trying to get away as fast as I can, but then I heard his voice again
"wait”
I didn't want to be mean to a guy i don't even know so I stopped, and turned around
"what?"
“That's your dragon right?” He asked as he pointed to Nightmare.
“Yes why?” I didn't have no problem telling him that she was mine...and I don't really care that I'm the only girl to actually ride a Dragon in this school...
“Well I was just wondering if you would like to hang out sometime?” he ask while looking away. That I didn't even expect, and he seems to be a nice guy and I didn't want to turn him down..
“Huh... sure why not,” I said while getting on Nightmare
"wait,” he said again, but this time holding on to my arm, before I fully got onto Nightmare.
"now what?" I said as nicely as I could
“what's your name?” he ask with a little smile, and when i looked into his eyes he had the puppy dog look which i might add i hated cause that's what got me a lot with guys.
“Clair, my name is Clair and your’s?”
“Cloud, ” he said with a smile and letting his grip off my arm go
“ok Cloud I really have to go.” I said hopping on to Nightmare as quickly as i could.
"Ok that's fine I’ll see you later."
"yeah later" I said as me and Nightmare took off
“see yeah Clair,” Cloud said smiling.
"Hey Cloud did you find the ball?” Another guys voice called out
“Yeah it's right hear” Cloud said walking towards the boy who has blond short hair, wearing black, with armor boots that came up to his knee, and he also had armor on his shoulder that looked like eagle fathers, or some kind of bird feathers, he also had armor on his fist that went pass his wrist a little.
"ok I thought we lost it, and who were you talking to?”
"No one Luke why?”
Luke put's his hands up like he just got caught by the police, but his hands didn't go pass his checks.
"no reason I just thought I heard someone ...well come on Duke is waiting, and you now how unpasent he can get.” Luke said turning his back towards Cloud and heading back the way he came. Cloud laughed
" Yeah I know”
"hey I know that face you meet a girl didn't you?" Luke said and got right into Clouds face it almost looked like they were about to kiss!
“no!” Cloud said smiling and shaking his head
"yes come on I can keep a secret,” Luke said.
"Her name is Clair she's a dragon rider.”
Luke just looked at him like he’s crazy! Then laughed a little
"A dragon rider? come on there hasn’t been a girl dragon rider in 20 or so years.”
Luke continued to laugh
"Yeah till now!”
