Architecture preliminary assignment #3:
Imagine that the base of the box you made is a hole through which you can see a beautiful landscape. Draw or paint this landscape (size of the box' base) and attach it to the base of the box
So, here is the damned thing I had to when applying for architecture studies in university. It didn't get accepted.
My guess would be that it's the material of the box that made me fail the assignment: it's cardboard, maybe a bit too weak.
My theme for the ensemble was the coast and the sea, being a girl from the little coastal town.
---
This here is assignment #3 then: A beautiful landscape. Again, it keeps within the theme coast and sea.
I made some pretty cool photography-trips when searching for inspiration for this ;D I went through my hometown, taking pictures of places. Finally, I took a pic of the town windmill, modified it a bit and made an imaginary background for it (again, taking bits and pieces from all the material I collected)
I decided to colour the landscape with wooden colours (or what were they called again?)... Maybe a bit of a bit decision, but I really was in a hurry...
Next year I'll start working on these assignments a bit earlier!

it's very hard to get accepted to such studies. I didn't try, because very good skills are necessary. But there's not problem. You can learn everything at your own. It's hard but that can be done. You probably won't get such skills like the graduates. Me neither. Whatever, Don't worry. You've got some advantages of the situation. The professors won't scold you when you do something wrong. You can draw whatever you want and improve at your own pace.

Now, this is the one which I really love.
The wonderful coast and sea landscape with its oh-so-pretty colors.
You've drawn the windmill from that angle really great (thanks to your photo ;3). Really nice work with this drawing, along with your whole assignments.
