Yeah, Harvey got beheaded by his little brother to try and save Emarae...so he's dead. That's why Emarae is crying and just before Harvey died they had a bit of fun with dyeing Emarae and his friends hair...badly.
The boy who's comforting her is Ronnie, one of Harvey's closest friends(and the other one whos hair got dyed), he was told by Harvey to look after her.
