The Artist named "Christian Riese Lassen" was the one that inspired me to paint Orcas again in a purple colored ocean. (I love his work BTW and you should look him up if you don't know or haven't seen his work of art)
I think I did okay with this painting. There's some things that I wish I could have blended more but you know how Acrylic works, it dries up SO FAST!

I love painting bubbles.

This painting is going up in my Bathroom. I have a Orca theme in here.
Enjoy,
Tree
PS: let me know if that title is good for this painting. ^^ thanks

i love how whales can be such graceful creatures, considering their size.
i think the roughness of the blending shows the texture of the water surface very well, although yes i have to say i dont like acrylics for the very reason you mentioned...they dry too quickly and theyre a very thin paint which doesnt cover well

Oh man I think I saw Christian's paintings at San Diego last year. he does a freaking amazing work with the ocean theme.
Also your is marvelous, I love when people take liberty for their color choices.
