I had the canvas laying around for about....4 years I think, with just the roughed background done on it. I finally got sick of seeing it kicking around, and pulled it out to finish it the other day. Now, I used to be very very into unicorns and flying horses, my early sketchbooks are full of practically nothing but. So this in a way is returning to my roots.

That's fantastic! You really have a mastery of waves and capturing their movement.
I am in awe of your ability to paint the unicorn form. I hear they can be very tricky to paint. The rear legs are painted with a slightly more stylistic quality to the color and stroke, but I think the overall effect is a unique and interesting one.
