Go Sleep In The Earth

A box before chairs in rows,
on a day when cold winds blow.
A girl in the back with hair in curls,
this is how this scene now unfurls.
Before the box, she just stares down,
her face unchanged, not a tear nor frown.
Black folds, white frills on her dress,
she lays the purple flower upon his chest.
She bends down low to touch his lips,
as she bends she gently sways her hips.
She whispers soft, with a hint of mirth,
"I never loved you, now go sleep in the earth."
Without a pause, or feeling of fear,
she lets out a bout of fabricated tears.
She turns and runs to her carriage
to mourn the end of her short marriage.
She wipes her tears with a cloth cut in half,
and throws her head back in a mocking laugh.

So, I was listening to this song "Bullet To Binary (pt. two)" by MeWithoutYou while waiting for a class to start, and this starting coming into my head. So I wrote this completely on a whim. I think it turned out okay, considering it's been three or four years since I last wrote a "traditional" poem of sorts.

Edit: I still don't really like that "half-assed" part. Well, I do and don't. But it's still kind of iffy, so when I think of something else I'll change it--FABRICATED! There we go. *Edit*
