so i like pokemon gijinka, like ones that capture the resemblance without crazy ass body parts and just clothing/accessories and hair color/style.

I felt obligated to give them names. It's a Shellos and a Gastrodon. I WORKED REALLY HARD ON THOSE NAMES CAN YOU TELL?
gastrodon gijinka has huge eyes, i wish i'd gone back and fixed that

"IMHO" (As the kids so often say these days) your human characters don't seem to have the personality that make your animals so enjoyable. They're not bad but nothing really strikes them as unique enough to really stand out. This is possibly due to the fairly similar body/facial structure. Try adding different facial features such as a mole, wrinkle lines, a variety of eye/nose/mouth shapes.
