I SUCK AT POETRY TOO
Love can hurt you more
Than anything else can
Emptiness takes a hold of you
You try to find a hand
You’re just about to lose it
Sharp objects seem tempting
Nothing can cure this disease
Heartbreak is unforgiving
When will someone see
You could be much more
They’d stop the names and hatred
So you’ll get up off the floor
Look up instead of looking down
Close your ears and only hear yourself
Smile like you haven’t before
Show them that you love every breathe
You’re alive and they can’t stop it
You’ve got something to prove
And if they have a problem
Then they can shush and move
No matter how hard the pain is
You’ll take it like a soldier
And do your best to keep your head
High like you’re not bothered
Patch up all your scars
Hope they’ll heal someday
But now focus on the what could bes
And shake the pain away
