One last submission before I disappear for finals. . .
I made a star! o.O
Title is because I was listening to "Let it Rock" while posting this, and. . . yeah. . .
This. . . is not at all what I intended to make when I started this piece. But then, it was much more fun than my original plan would've been, so I don't think I really care. Also, stars are my new favorite object to make (and made for quite a learning experience). Why don't people do these more often?
Many thanks to keepwalking07 on DeviantArt for his awesome tutorial on stars: http://keepwalking07.deviantart.com/art/The-last-Supernova-Tutorial-102751332.
Um, what else. . . first time making asteroids. Also, first time trying a planet that looked like it was cracking/molten. Didn't come out as well as I hoped, but I think I've got it figured out now. Oh, and first time making the star field entirely by hand instead of modifying a noise layer. I could never get it to look right using noise, so I think I prefer this. Lots of firsts.
I actually have four different colored versions of this from playing around with the color scheme. . . blue, red, and a darker orange. Might upload them later, if anyone's interested.
Okay, done rambling. C&C very much welcome, as always.

This is like, super pretty. I feel like there's a lot of negative space though, but other than that, I love this.
And I say upload the other coloured versions!

YAY FOR STARS!!
We really wouldn't have any other point of staring at the sky at night if they did not exist.
Anyway, good luck on finals!
