Listen all the way through before deciding if you like it. Thanks.

BEST. SONG. EVER... At least my best song to date... 6 Channel SEGA Megadrive Music with an extra 2 channels coming from the PSG chip. I used VOPM for the FM Channels and my SN-EMU for the PSG. No samples were used, the drums are 100% synthesized with VOPM! That kick is thick when you open up the decay a little. ENJOY, COMMENT, DOWNLOAD AND SO ON!!! =D

I am normally not the biggest fan of chip tunes, music created from incredibly limited old school audio generators typically used in video game systems. I mean, I liked it well enough when I played old SEGA games, but I don't usually stand to listen to something like that on its own...

...right up until this track got presented to me, boy this song is good. To have done such awesomery with merely the capabilities of the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) indeed merits much attention and respect.

Thus, feature get.

check out the rest of Ben's stuff.

Can I listen and comment at the same time?
Well a lovely intro and a nice beat to match.
Some funny bizarre techno stuff in the middle. But I love the accomaniment (I CANNOT spell that).
As the main tune kicks in I get the real feel of the song.
I would have chosen a TOTALLY different song.
The way you have used your resorces/equipment impresses me, I agree this could be your best piece.
The beat just keeps as good as it is all the way through. CATCHY.
Then that kinda awesome techno tune mixed with a quieter version of the main tune. And another quiet accomaniment (I KNOW - SPELLING). The way the song ends loud and very BIG is great. I just think the ending lasted for a long time. Like Livin' On A Prayer. I hate the ending to that >.<
Still a lovely outro with that kickass beat. And the last note to beat.

MANNN IMMA PROUD OF THAT COMMENT.
imma year8.

i'm probably going to agree with you here that this is probably the best mega drive song you have ever done. just at points it's a little too layered so you can't distinguish the layers very well. even through studio headphones. maybe that's what you were going for. absolutely love the ending though, and everything else really. the word "epic" comes to mind. fav'd :vanillacone:

Medjai Power Says:

Awesome song man.
I would love to play whatever game that came from.

Charleon Says:

It's so funny, because I've always listened to your works on here, but for some reason I left sheezyart for a period time and never got back to your music until yesterday, when Both My brother, and a friend posted a link to this and another song (But i think it was on youtube), it's funny how fate just draws me back to certain people sometimes.
As for the song, I like the intro, but maybe for a Sega Megadrivetrack it needs to get to the juicier parts a little bit faster. As for the rest of the song: Awesome dynamics and variations in both drums, melody and arrangement. The tune really draws you in and gives off quite an epic feeling. I'm downloading the instruments you've used for this song and I'm going to give it a shot myself later this or next week, which means you've inspired me mucho!
Really nice track, and a solid production!

Favourited and Saved for offline playing.
I have no idea why, but this really feels like a much, much harder and dancier Pugsy song. Loving it.

hchano Says:

I am a bit of a music noob. What is Sega MegaDrive? Is that using old music sounds to make your own stuff? Cos it does sound like an old game type of song :>

Really, though, it makes me feel like I am tearing through the coolest level of an old school game. I really love this :] I can never get the save file thing to work on this damn site [along with half it's other features which are apparently not firefox friendly] so I will just have to fave this and come back to it all the time =]

AlloyOne Says:

This is pretty snazzy. I dont normally like Chip Tunes all that much but this was rather captivating :]

D'ya think you could export a midi file for me? i've got me some interesting ideas for it >:]

Sausabe Says:

You're the type of person who makes chiptunes tolerable again. I am really impressed. Particularly with the percussion.

Illusions Says:

Congrats on the feature, Ben. :3

JackSand Says:

Nice Ben, you gotta feature :D.
Hearing this song again, your rhythm and your drumbeat is your best. I think you sould work on your other parts.

Very nice Ben, I know I already commented but this song is pretty much awesome.
