Chronicles of Terra: The Age of Hell
"It is not easy riding the storm of war, but one should remember that on those winds ride the doves of Peace, and the Angel of Glory."
General Philip Alexandar, 512th Alcorin Regiment.
Part I
The Flames Unleashed
The flashes of bright lights in the sky above the planet Horus were exotic to those who stared into the night sky, only guessing to there reason. Only when the first impact struck the city did the millions of citizens scream for aid before being suddenly sentanced to an eternity of damnation among the stars.
A single being stood within the blazing tower of a recently detonated apartment building, the burning bodies of its owners strewn around the rubble as the flames lapped up anything that took to flames.
Legions of machines fuelled by an iron will marched across the city, hundreds of fighter bombers and dozens of bombardment cruisers systematically exterminating anything organic on the planets surface.
A small bent over man bearing a deep scar across his face and adorned with armour similar to the bodywork of the machines now slaughtering the local populace approached the figure standing in the blaze.
"My lord, the planets populace is nearly purged. What is your will?" the croaky voice of the old man was slurred from his malformed lips, both sliced open at one point only to be poorly stiched to insure drewl would run from his lips even if he willed himself to avoid such a disgusting habbit.
The cloaked figure turned to see the city as the last sky scrapers were struck with plasma cannons, gazing across the conquered world.
"Order the fleet to reform and recall all units. Our next target will already by arming by now." a muffled mechanicle voice echoed in the fires that quivered in the night winds. "I want this planet processed for resource extraction. Leave 3 ships to guard the location."
The cloaked figure walked to the edge of the building, looking down at the rubble below. "It shall be done my lord" the old man spluttered, bowing his already crooked back in respect for his master.
"See that it is. I grow tired of this human filth." the figure turned its head to mutter a few words that no known language could be compared to before leaping from the towering debri only to land on a passing transport. The air was filled with smoke but even this seemed to run in fear of the being that now hurtled through the sky towards a nearby assault carrier still floating around the cities outskirts.
The old man turned around as a single floating machine, similar in design to a scorpian, hum and click to his presense. The old mans face sighed as he sat upon its back, heaving his crippled body onto the massive beast. "Take me to the ship, and order the recall of all units." he muttered, the machine clicking and humming as it flew high into the air and away from the near flattenned city.
Within less then an hour the entire fleet above the now burning world departed, endless flames covering continents east to west. The human population once numbering over 7 million now estimated, at best, as 0.
