Memories from Ruby

A late and early anniversary I suppose.
I got Ruby, my first game, on my birthday and chose Torchic for the most obvious reasons.

I was so excited when I finally evolved it into a blaziken.

Anyway, what blaziken is holding is a shell bell.
I would've chose leftovers but I don't like the idea that Blaziken is holding a half-eaten apple.
I can say the shell bell was the most useful item (before leftovers) I equipped to Blaziken.

And I still don't understand the evolution chain for Torchic.
