Leaving for nowhere

It's an assignment for my arts classes. An illustration to Nikolaj Gogol's short story "The Overcoat".
Weeell.. our teacher gave us only small excerpts from the short story so I actually don't know it in detail.

Yeah, those are (ghosty) faces in the coat X3
Oh and if you wonder what are the tiny letters on the coat... they are quotations from the story we were supposed to put into the picture.

First serious attempt to work with charcoal pencils.
