Fruits Parlor JSK in RedxPink

Work for Fanime; Yikes, this is my first personal completed thing (not including ALA work) since Anton's sketch after Animagic. Wow.

I'm gonna be uploading this a second time in a different coloring style (But later tonight, since I want to finish fixing up my bedroom..) and I'd like to see which coloring style is better. I'm also gonna tweak it to be in a different color scheme for kicks, cuz I might do a different dress print in red (Rose toilette). Maybe pinkxpink, or pinkxblack.

ANYWAYS my point with that is to pick the coloring style to make the print in. So keep an eye on me for that; I'd like opinions on both, please!


So about the piece itself, this is the first time I've actually tried to duplicate something; namely, the print along the bottom of the skirt (And along the top/bottom of the pic). If I'm going to be doing an Angelic Pretty piece, I'm going to be hella anal about it! I felt kind of ashamed while working on it out in the open, where people were seeing me reference the picture of the dress print. I tend to pride myself on lack thereof, and now there are people out there who think I am a copycat artist! Noo ;_;

I'd love to hear some input on this, especially from my target market: perfectionist lolitas. This piece is the first of a set of Lolita images that will debut at Fanime in postcard sizes. MAYBE 11x17 posters, if I feel like it. Hence the watermarking. Input on which you'd be more likely to get would be appreciated too
