Well, to make the fly work convincingly, Ive found in my experience that the smears should follow the same arc that the fly is traveling on, or it becomes hard to follow.
Also, I really like the walk cycle, very clean. My only nitpick is the nose. When he sinks into the next step, his nose should follow through up a little higher before going down. It should add a bit more bounce.
