What She's done wrong

There's a poor little girl lost and consumed.
She sits at her desk and lets her thoughts consume her.
She sits at her desk and wonders "What the fuck did I do wrong?"
She's always on time.
She's always smiling.
She's always had hope.

Now she sits at her desk and watches like a movie as her day goes by.
She smiles and it seems foreign.
She talks and it's not her words.
She's a hollow crust of herself.

She's wondering why her friends are drifting away.
She's wondering why her smiles are suddenly forced.
She wonders what the fuck went wrong.

I sit and stare at her and want to hug her.

She sits and smiles as her friends all get hugs around her.
No one hugs her.

She's suddenly weeping on the inside.
She's suddenly furious at her friend.
Her friend takes their good things for granted.
Her friend takes everything good for granted and thinks nothing
Of the little girl.

She's crying alone at night in her room.
She's wondering what she did so wrong.
