I've been reading Tarot cards for
six years now, so I'm combining classic Rider-Waite Tarot imagery with stuff from my Life in Glory Sequence of novels to make my own Tarot deck. 78 cards, oh god.

11 - Justice = Hayden Melbourne
Ethereality. That's where I am now. A strange feeling has settled over my entire being, reminiscent of days when I was freer with emotion. No longer do I dread the coming presentation, the swearing of oaths that must surely be approaching. I have found an ultimate edge, and I am living on it. There is a kind of dark pleasure in knowing I'm to be part of something so natural and untamed, so…essential, ancient.
Kings and knights and courts.
Royalty and chivalry and nobility.
Justice.
Justice?
The word isn't mine. It's coming from the surrounding ensemble, whispered a hundred times over in voices like shifting leaves.
This edge is sharp. My very being aches with the pleasure of the danger and the bitterness of it all, with the sense of justice. I feel I can't breathe, though when I place my hand over my mouth and nose, I realize that I am doing so, slowly, deeply, as if my body has entered a state of meditation and calm.
This is the death of beauty.

I'm actually somewhat disappointed, after all my excitement over getting to this card. It should be zoomed closer in on his face, and...whatever, it still looks nice I guess
