alone
A wolf howls int he night searching for a friend
It howls are long and endless
Seeking the companion it longs for he wanders in to the night
Looking and sniffing for a trail but finds none
This lone wolf has no pack , no friend, no one
He travels far from his home in search of one.
Pushing himself harder as he goes along,
placing one paw in front of the other he travels farther
he seeks out a smell but finds nothing.
he hunts small animals along the way because of his starvation
this lone black wolf has no one. not a friend, not a pack, not even a mate.
his black glistens in the night,
moving quietly as he smells for trial and runs through bushes.
he finally picks up on a trail following it to the lake
He looks across with his piercing ice blue eyes. and sees a pack not to far.
this pack so far from his home.
he finds his new hunting grounds. as well as his new pack.
they accept him in for his long travel
he takes his place among them.
his once sad and endless howls are now those of heartfelt joy.
but as well as a warning for all who come.
