More requested-by-friend stuff. I'm doing a lot of these lately-- I ought to start asking for payment. Heh, maybe one day. . . after more practice.
I actually have no idea if a purple planet would ever occur naturally (maybe if you had lots of neon gas, and plenty of lightning...?), but it was fun to make none the less. Need to work on the texture more... The close up planet was a first: probably the biggest planet I've worked with. I think I got the lighting right on the planets in this one, or at least better than my older pieces. . . Oh yeah, and part of the request was that the rings be perpendicular to the planet's rotation.
I guess the weakest part is still the stars. I need to find a better method or something. . .
