Your "boring crap" tags made me laugh. I've always found the WWs to be intriguing, but I never had enough class time in school devoted to studying them. Seems like you've captured the whole "depressed and downtrodden" feeling of the trenches. Great job! :]

A miserable time of slimy trenches, when everything seemed to be made out of mud and mistrust. This seems to capture the mood very well, actually. Did you ever read All Quiet On the Western Front? A very similar vein.
