my foot somehow made it into this shot, because i had to use my foot to prop up my stupidly sized sketchbook. 11 x 14 is the dumbest size in the entire world. the dumbest. but charcoal on vellum works so nicely...i fucked up the hand, so i stopped working on it. this is what happens when your professor tells you "you need more variety in your out-of-class sketching."
any crit would be nice.
ps that guy reminds me of yul brynner.

the bottom portrait looks really rushed. the hair is...lackluster, and the lighting is all over the place. what happened? did they move the lighting halfway through?
