I haven't done a realistic drawing in a long time and wanted to see if i could do it by following some tutorials i found online. Things are going ok, just real slow. And his hair is driving me crazy.
I ended up cropping the image because the majority of it is not done. The final image will have more of him visable

His ear is a bit high but I know he's not exactly human? x:

This looks very good for not having done realism in a while.
The eyes and nose look very good. (if you don't want crits feel free to skip this part)
) I can't wait for the finished painting.
But the mouth looks too small. I do have a little tip for doing the mouth that my art teacher told me. The edges of the mouth always line up, more or less, with the pupils of the eye. (you can look in a mirror to see that) Note that this only works if the character is looking ahead, as in your painting. Chin is a little sharp as well, try giving him more cheeks.
(crit over)
But over all this looks very good. I love the shading is fantstic and the skin tone is spot on. (i always have trouble with skin tone

I was surprised when I clicked on this! It was obviously different than what you usually draw. So I was all "
"!

The mouth makes him look like he's puckering, maybe widen that out a bit? But someone already said that, so I won't say much more. Good job, over all!

not bad, but the facial shape looks too anime-ish for realism
