I've been working on this for a long while. This was something I just HAD to do once I saw the reprinted box set covers, with sexy airbrush shading and prettier lines, ect. They're gorgeous, and once I saw this one I thought "CELESTIAL MOON AND THE FOUR ZODIAC!" Well, she was Empyrean when I started, but now she's Celestial.
TECHNICALLY, by the time Sailormoon reaches this form, all of the Zodiac will have evolved. But eehh. I didn't feel like drawing the complexity, and besides, people would recognize them in these forms easier.
It's nice to draw everyone smiling too. ...Except for Gemini, but she's a big meanie.
I wanted to display a few things, namely the differance in body-types (hence Capricorn's huge boobs, and Libra/Cancer's lack of them), and also distinctive skin-colors. Moon is a bit more yellow because she's the only full-blooded Japanese girl out of them. Alexis turned out darker then I thought, but it makes her seem creepier for some reason
DESPITE MY BEST EFFORTS, I CANT GET HER AWESOME GRADIENT HAIR TO LOOK AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TIME I DID IT :\ So we'll settle with what I have here. Poo.
I love how this turned out. I also though it would be fitting to use my spacey background instead of the cropped one, yey!
About the only thing I'm unhappy with is Libra's hair. Light blonde hair is a bitch to shade, apparently, and I redid it like four times :\
VINEY HELL. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. Capricorn took like three times longer to do then everyone else; lineart AND shading. And her evolved form is much, much worse. T_T WOE!
