...named that for two reasons. One, because it took me a million attempts to get it looking somewhat decently, and second, this is the first from me in a while.
Yes, that IS Elise. The other girl's name is Taylor.
Taylor is a rather new OC. Some of her interests and looks (pale skin, red eyes, love for machines, more "gothish" outfits) were modeled after Jack Spicer of Xiaolin Showdown, I will admit.
However, that's where the similarities stop and the differences begin... but I won't get into that here, because it'll just be too long for the artist comments.
I got the pose from the "how to draw manga: couples" book, and modified it to my heart's content while staying true to the actual pose. Because, well, it was a cute pose.
I'm not going to say which way I intended this drawing: as a friendship thing or a romantic thing. I'll leave that to you guys. Either way, the two are VERY close friends and Taylor is VERY protective of Elise.
These two are now part of a webcomic I'm doing with a couple of friends. I don't think I'll be doing the art, but feel free to check out out anyway when it finally gets up~
