So after seeing the previous picture,
said (verbatim) "that's it, 'draw better khtall' is now going on my to-do list". And so she did, and it looks much, much better.
Since it looked so much better and the sketch was cleaner, I decided to try and go for more detail than a simple flat colour, and went with my usual combined gradients. Here's the result! I'm normally downright terrible with fabric, but I think I did passably well here with my attempt on the cloak.
