Sonnet for the Dead Princess

Rain steady down on her face
The girl sitting silent and alone
Seeing nothing on her swing of stone
Like the angel of light fallen from grace

Cold winter's breath touching her lips
The chill air asks her why the mourn
Too sad for heaven's Lucifer reborn
Blue eyed gaze as salt water drips

Never retrieved what she has lost
Her white rose withered into black
His death has been too much a cost

Her bitter sorrow went too deep
Just place was left to search
She embraced the eternal sleep

I love the art of being melancholic. I wrote this one after being inspired by 2 things. First one is the song 'Love you to death' by Kamelot (<- buy at least one album of them, they're worth it) here's the link to the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAqVs95aTt0
And second (but just as inspiring) a lovely piece of art made by it's right here (I hope) http://www.sheezyart.com/art/view/2029611/
And to all the Touhou experts, YES the title was inspired on Septette for the Dead Princess ^^
