This painting totally grossed out my sister. It was his teeth. And she hasn't even seen his gums.

...This last stage is where it really gets fun. But it would be tedious to talk about all the different colors I was using to get him all splotchy and hairy and stained and swollen. But I will tell you that in any painting, the last thing I do is add the eyelashes. Doing them last ensures that I can make them the darkest part of the painting--against the bright white highlights in eye--to have the most contrast, so it will be the focal point of the piece.
