An assignment for my Ink Drawing class.
The assignment was to pick a panel from a comic we liked, and recreate it... down to every last stroke. I chose this panel from Trigun Maximum, by Yasuhiro Nightow
It sounded boring, but trying to get into the head of Yasuhiro Nightow and to make every stroke perfect was actually kinda fun.. and hard D: It helped me learn how to use my quill-pen a little better though.
I added the screentones digitally, since zippotone paper costs way too much for how... useless it kind of is. There was a large gradient tone in the back too, but I cant find anything that looks close to how it does in the actual comic page. So oh well.
I might scrap this later (mostly due to how its still just a hard-core trace job)
