Castle

Castle

Onry and stubborn
It lives with us all
Always watching
With a keen mind.

Silent and thoughtful
Justified by its inherent depositions.
Reasons and logic defied,
With a mind of its own.

Our castles a wonder
Magnificent and proud
Arrogant yet caring
It basks in it’s glory.

It stands on a mountain
Over looking a valley.
Forests softly rolling
On tender purple hills.

Lakes sparkle like crystals
Rivers flow like ribbons
While clouds, pure white as snow
Float underneath a turquis sky.

Four gate entrances,
One main door
One each of earth,
Wind, water, fire
And soul.

Each to his own
Understands him best
Though none unwanted
May cross their threshold.

A welcoming room
Entices us in,
Couches and pillows
are the demand
One bookshelf,
Surmounting all.
A marble fireplace
Decorated by a deadly flower,
Two feathers and One picture.

Staind glass windows
Brood gleefully above
Couches for one,
A relaxing lounge.

Bookshelf upon bookshelf
Row upon row
This is our world
Recorded by all

Leatherbound and fancy
To hardback and a copy
Books are our love
Stored neatly in the library

Polished to a glossy shine,
Cabnets made of holly and maple.
Marble embellished, it’s sunny and clear.

Spice racks and pantries,
Ovens and stoves.
Smoke lazily drifts through
Open-rounded windows.

Spiral or straight
They haunt our hallways
Stairwell affixed to stairwell
Leading to everywhere
And to nowhere.

Stubborn as its parent
Smarter than it seems
They never seem to stay a solid shape.
Every hour a different direction
Every minute a new name.
Beware our moving stairwells
They’re tricky as can be.

Numerous in number
Large and calming.
Plants, elegant
And silent
Guard these yards.

Fountains bubble
With cold clean water.
Ever changing lights
Small and simple
Colaborate with Our peace.

Floating high above our walls
Overlooking the entire world
It sparkles like diamonds
And glows a soft white

Its twin sits opposite
An entire new direction
It’s entrance is barred
Unlike this siblings.

It serves as a study
Or as a room.
Its uses are many
And resources are plenty

Plenty of space
Plenty of room
Nothing stays the same,
Always changing
Forever moving
They’re never staying still

To each his own
Just as chivalric as
their counterparts.
A tower on each corner,
One in the middle
A significent meaning
A home for each.

A challenge awaits
Through the marble doors
Armed with riddles and
Magic fights with puzzles embedded

A maze of wit,
Out-lasting and implausible
Hundreds of levels
Each unique
Life or death
Money or points
A labrinths game
For our amusement.

This we call home,
No matter where we be
This is our shelter of
Peace, solitude, isolation
Whatever we need it be

None may find one
Quite just like this.
A solid heart’s treasure
For all of us to share.
