nature

Nature.

The colors swirl around
Like leaves, careless and
Free, gently falling to the eart.

Colors, golden, brown,
Orange, blending to a
Smooth perfection
Pleasing to the minds eye.

Autumn winds remind me
I am, who I am.
Watching the colors
Dance around me.

The sunset cripples the night’s
Advance as it creeps its way
Into bed. Twilight-thrown in
With the hues of pink and purple
The true beauty of nature.

Night and its warm winds
Will come, balancing out
The shadows that stalk over
The earth.
Silence-the world has gone
To bed.

But the night is not dead
Or silent in anyway
It screams for attention
In the hoot of an owl,
The squeak of its prey
The moving of the moon
The howling of the wolf.

The tree’s will bend
With the passsing
of the clouds, escorting
in the deepest night.

The stars tell the stories
Of long-ago hero’s
The leaves dancing to
Their longing lustful tune

This is nature
Where the wind
Soothes my aching soul
Which yearns for something more
This is my world, both shared and loved
Hopefully to never disappear.

I like this one too.

this one was like. Quick! grab a pen and I sat on the kitchn counter writing this. :) I had to double check my spelling of 'squeak' because i was a dork. And my brother goes, I don't think anyone other than you has ever used that word in a non-humourous poem. I was like w/e Because thats not true! >> there are probable lots of poems that use that word. :)

anways enjoy.
