Weaving is a simple techinque, I remembered learning that in year seven in secondary school, I bet you can even find a simple explaination on the internet. Wikipedia might even work... But with this you can simply paint over your finshed piece or even add colours to the strips of paper, card, etc you use for weaving. The one on the top, the colours were the ones of the jamacian flag painted in different patterns and shapes. The second is just a view of a sun set and I used a sowing machine in different colours line by line to make it more colourful.

Interesting, didn't notice it was a product of weaving, firstly thought it is a bit abstract and geometrical for me, though remembering all shapes change when weaving, I can imagine even more interesting pieces coming out of there. I'd try use some brush strokes in addition to the weaved parts, so that the squares are less visible on places. :)
