I haven't really tried shading like I used too. As a result, most of my art looks like shit. I draw thinking I'm going to color, then I don't. So I'm going to amend that.
I also plan on trying more realism soon when I get some nice paper and materials.

& if you think you're going to color, how about trying to get the lines as neat as they can & shade like that, then color with those lines & shades?
unless if the picture becomes too dark or something while scanning. then that sucks. :C
