Okay both of these pieces stuck on this page is am example of one of the techinques we used in texiles. Its basically a replacement if your not that great with tread and fabric work. To use this techinqiue you need greeseproof paper, a iron, many plastic bags (different colours if desired) and a suface you don't mind messing up.

Instead of kniting things together, is a great subitute for fabric, and you can make many patterns and designs.

I'll tell you an example. I want to make a red flower on a plain background, but knitting and sowing annoyes me ad I want it done quickly.

1) I'll cut the shape of the flower out of a red plastic bags.
I'll then take out my background colour out of a another plastic bag.

2) I'll then place my flower where I want it on my background.

3) Then place a sheet of greeseproof paper on both the top and bottom of my piece of platic bag completely so nothing sticks. (If you haven't caught on yet the greese proof will keep it from sticking.)

4) Iron on greeseproof paper but make sure the iron isn't to hot ot that you don't leave it on too long.

5) Leave for a bit, it should be hot.

6) carefully peal greeseproof off and see results.

Experiment, add more layers on in different colours, shapes etc...
