This is a portrait of my family growing up in the 1970s. I am the one reading the fashion mag on the floor trying to shut out all the chaos. Eleven kids - one's off to the Vietnam war because he thinks it will be less crazy than home. Another wants to blow up banks to promote peace (see bomb). Crazy times.
