Immortal Wars (Chapter 1)
Immortal Wars
James walked through his school, weary of every action, precautions to every sound, every little movement in his peripheral vision. He was feeling paranoid, lost in the sea of students, he took a bug whiff of air, but there was no smell or taste of danger, then why... why did he feel like this.
He felt a tap on his shoulder, and feeling how he was, he had to protect him self. He whirled around, grabbing the person's shirt and slamming them to the wall, knocking down a trophy placed on a shelf there, the glass it was in cracked, but was defiant and didn't brake... Thankfully, because this was already big enough, there were a lot of awkward stares coming his way, and murmurs like; “What's going on?”, “A fight?”, “My money's on the pinned one.”, “Ha, no way, the other dude will win.”.
James stared down the boy he was holding, realizing it was David, he gently let him to his feet. “Sorry dude, a little jumpy today.” James apologized quickly. David awkwardly laughed and coughed at the same time
“No problem, but wow, I didn't think you were that strong man.” the crowd sighed in disappointment, starting to disperse, there was obviously no fight to be seen here. “What a let down.”
James' ears picked up on the comment and he laughed softly “Such a violent school.” he said shaking his head. David threw James an accusatory glance. “Oh yeah.” James muttered rubbing the back of his head. “Want a free hit?” he asked, hoping to make up for the situation.
David shook his head “Na, it's all good.” He looked like he was considering it for a moment though then shook his head “Not if you paranoid, maybe a later time.” he decided. He looked at James slightly concerned “So what's got you worked up?” he asked showing his concern.
James stood still for a moment, staring off into space before he responded “What, oh yeah.” he laughed before continuing. “I don't know, it's just, there's been a lot of wolf reports going on recently...” his voice trailed off, his face showed what he could not speak. He stared into Davids eyes, hoping he'd make the connection.
“Oh.” David responded, quickly making the connection. “Dude, come on, we got to go talk else where.” he whispered as he walked , James following on his heals, through the students to the less crowded end of the hall way. This is where the exit was located, but they never locked it or placed a teacher in front of, just begging for the kids to skip. As many did.
Once they pushed open the doors, a howl of wind in response, the raced over across the student parking lot into the nearby forest, they both thought the same thing, 'Hopefully we can be alone to talk.'
James spoke first “As I was saying, wolf sightings and all, but they made the connection that they can't be normal, my paw prints are two big for a normal wolf, but smaller than that of a bear.”
“I'm sure it'll all turn out okay-”
James cut him off before he could finish “They already have hunting parties out for me, it's just a matter of time until they get a good look at me and blam, they'll notice I'm not a normal wolf, making it a security threat-”
David cut James off now “Then don't transform!” he screamed at him.
James trembled, trying to gain control of his anger. “You know I can't.”
“Why, because you 'feel' a werepire somewhere” he rolled his eyes “Or the fact there's a vampire at the school.”
“Both!” James screamed into David's face.
David winced back “Sorry man, I didn't mea-” he cut off looking at his friends with wide eyes. “Oh god...” he commented running out of the forest. 'crap crap crap' he thought as he was running.
James was trembling, his vision was blurred. He was angry beyond sanity. He trembled once more, and like a burst of flame, and explosion maybe. His arms shot to the air as the fur grew and he grew along with it, becoming a huge black wolf, with eyes a deep set gray. He clothes lie in pieces around him.
He threw that thought aside, he was a wolf for now, he might as well do what he should, what his fate intended him to do. He ran though the forest at a blinding speed, a speed only immortals could attain. He stopped short, sniffing the air, recoiling as though something there had scared him. 'Another Lycan, but why...” he thought, running faster now, to intercept this intruder, Lycans kept off each other's lands, what was this one doing. All of a sudden, from behind a large bush, almost the size of a car, another wolf came crashing out, slamming into James.
He cursed something unintelligibly under his breath and jumped back, baring his teeth. This other wolf showed no signs of hostility, more curiosity. It took a step towards James and he growled loud, so loud David could hear it, when he was already a mile or two away. The other wolf noticed the tension and backed off abruptly.
“I'm sorry.” it said in a slightly higher pitched voice then that of a male.
James' eye felt as though they were going to bulge from his their sockets, it was a female wolf. He stood there, confused for a moments time, trying to ascertain this, he's only seen male Lycans. Once he seen a female of, or sorta wolf, it was a werewolf, already past her second moon, James had one hell of a right there, torn inside by the fact he hit a girl.
He shook his head, regaining his wolfy composure, “No worry, I haven't seen many Lycans in a while, but I do wonder, why do you come to my lands?” he asked of her.
“I don't know.” she responded quickly “I just felt like there was a ...forbidden... somewhere.”
James' eye again should have fell to the ground and rolled about. “You too?!” he barked.
The female wolf gave a puppy like laugh and smiled at James “I see, then there has to be one...” her voice trailed off, she looked like she was concentrating on something. “We have company.” she growled out, spinning, facing the way James was.

Omg, I think your writing is excellent! It might help if you started a new paragraph every time there's a new quote, because then it would be a little easier to read and understand who's talking, but otherwise than that, you're very good! Keep on writing! :3
