Birth of a Nutcase

This is my first submission to SheezyArt. It's a self portrait to express how I feel about finally having the free time...and the nerve...to put my thoughts on canvas. A lot of symbolism here - nude because it's a "birth" of sorts. The blood from the birth is the primary colors spilling from my paint brush, an old-fashioned formica kitchen table to symbolize a looong past of being a traditional wife and Mom. A box of Cheerios because that's all I can take time to eat when I paint, and finally the Animal Crackers which, as Groucho Marx could tell you, speak for themselves.
