Chocero is home to the inner volcanoes of the Rohko Islands, in the Chubu Region. It's dense rock form is capable of holding molten lava from the inner volcanic structures.
Although Chocero is a sweet poke'mon and very kind, anyone who crosses Chocero had better beware! When Chocero invokes its ability "Fissure" the lava inside begins to swirl, and you'll see the rock stick move around faster as this poke'mon gets ready to burst!
It's signature move, "Lavaburst" sends lava flying from the top of Chocero's head and into an enemy!

Okay, so I think the inspiration for this poke'mon is pretty easy to figure out, but if you still don't get it, I'll go ahead and explain it.
A chocolate covered cherry! =3
The gray ripped edge is supposed to resemble a wrapper being ripped or peeled off, and the head is supposed to be the top of the candy when bitten into. Now mind you, chocolate covered cherries don't have stems inside, but it just looked so much cuter with the cherry stem! ^o^

Toying around with the idea of an evolution, but nothing great comes to mind. So for now, a one stage, but possibly a two-stage poke'mon in the future!
