I think that since the overall image is rather dark, you should make the "earth" part a little less vibrant.
Just my thinkings. Add some gray or sepia tone to those colors

Something does appear to be missing (the background feels very empty and bland in comparison to the rest of the image), but what's missing doesn't really detract from what you have here. I love that smoky, cauldron-thing. It's a really nice touch.
