We were given the entire class time to do this picture and I still worked on it for about 3 hours when I got home. I have a very light touch with color pencil and it takes at least 4 hours to get the basic value pattern in and then at the very least another hour to get the skin tone almost to where I want it.

I have to admit, I had no idea where to start on this guy's hair, that's why it's a tad...whimsical :">
