time stands still

time stands still.
I hear the roar of the ocean.
The sound of raw destruction.
the waves beat against the rocks, but lap at my legs.
I wonder where or when the time comes.
the tide grows higher.
i stand up
the rocks at my feet
and my lover at the car.
i turn around to smile at him.
The smile that can say a million things and mean only one.
He moves towards me,
like a jaguar on the prowl for his food.
i see the demand in his eyes. and it frightens me.
not much but just enough.
i take a step back not realizing i am on the edge already.
i fall off into the caressing arms of the ocean.

my mouth opens to scream but nothing comes.

the water beads caress my skin as i fall.
the blue heavens casacde over me.
the crushing oundof the waves beat me.
he reaches and for another moment i feel alive.
the dark abyss closses over my eyes. i faint.
i open my eyes sometimes later.
but instead of a hospital room it is the room i fell aseep in.
my lovers arm are around me he say i am here alive safe.
my heart pounds and never ceases.
my tears stream down my face.
the salty taste if them is enough to scare me half to death.
i calm.
to dream again.
but i dream instead of dying i would live and be happy.
and is will see through it no matter what he cause.
but to know i live another day.
the end of tomorrow is all the brighter.
