As for backstory for Makoto:

Once Upon a Time, Makoto was born the youngest of five brothers (who also had magic knight powersss). After his father died, Makoto was tired of the goodie two shoes way of his brothers (also being in the shadow of all of them) and set out to slay them all. He succeeded in tracking down all his brothers, and was about to kill off his oldest brother when, his dying brother set upon him a curse with his last breath! Makoto could never use his demon power for evil for a 100 years...Makoto then took over the family money and set up his Callboy Service in Kyoto. He picked up a wandering, cute featherbrain of a secretary (Karu!!!oneone) and now spends his time using his powers for "good" against his will. The End.
