El Tigre Girls!

Whew, been a while for me! Work will do that to a person, I'm afraid...well, retail work anyway. XP

*cough* Aaaanyway. It's no secret that I am a HUGE El Tigre fan; I've been ODing on it like crazy, thanks to TurboNick and the Nicktoons Network. That, combined with browsing lots of fan art and other people's characters, got me to create my own.

Really, I've been kicking around this idea for months now, but never had the drive to think more into it. Originally, there was only supposed to be one character, but somehow it got turned into two.

The girl on the left is Reyna Guerrero; the girl on the right is Emelina Tenazas, her cousin. Both are sixteen years old, but Lina is a few months older than Reyna. Technically, I created Lina first, but it was Reyna whose design came to me first (Lina gave me sooo much trouble @w@; ). Both girls do in fact have alter egos (Reyna is the heroine, while Lina is the villain), which I've drawn, but I haven't gotten around to coloring them yet.

This is my first time drawing in the El Tigre style (and yeah, Reyna's eyebrows are a little wonky, but I don't feel like fixing them now ), but I think I did fairly well for the first time; it's really not all that hard of a style to grasp, so it didn't cause me too much trouble.

Crap. I just realized that Lina's shirt is supposed to have a design on it, but I forgot to CG it; I thought her shirt looked a little plain. Darn; looks like I'll have to go back and fix that in a bit.
