i put my pen to paper
and the words pour out
a form of art i think it is
but i do not doubt
for corrections are for teachers
who tell us that we're wrong
and why should people judge me
when i'm just writing..........
the song
that the birds sing
the wind
blowing through the trees
the nameless tune
stuck in your head all day
the love
in the moonlight
the girls
screaming from false fright
the guys
trying to get the one
while we're dancing in the sun
so keep on trying
go on dreaming
don't look back when you're ahead
or you'll lose it
once you've got it
if you had it at all
don't let people hold you back
for they'll change you
rearrange you
until you're not who they give back
an aged soul
with a cookie-cutter face
who's creativity has been dubbed "waste"
so don't ever doubt yourself
just keep moving ahead
pushing ahead until you're there
and don't ask questions
don't doubt yourself
don't ever look back
keep on with you talents
until you've passed the moon
and landed among the stars
sure to never let anyone
pull you away from what you love most
