Stretch me out
And pull me back in
I'm a rubber band
I'll go back to my
Shape and nature
Once you're done using
Me
But sometimes it's
Harder
Because the longer
You use me
The more time I need
To come back right
Away
And if you stretch me
Too far
And pull me too hard
One day I'll for sure
Snap
And
Break
Pieces flying apart from
Each other
As if my atoms can no longer
Contain their longing to
Be separated from one
Another
And then you'll just throw
Me away
And go find a new toy
A new rubber band
To stretch and use
And pull
And for a small period of time
You'll be conscious of your
Last mistake
And you'll be a little easier
With your wear and tear
But soon you'll forget
And
Snap!
Another one breaks
Not that you care
It's just another toy
To throw away
That's lost its use
In your mind
But one by one
You use us all up
Until you realize your
Mistakes
And try to piece together
The one that you might
Have had a chance of
Caring about
But it's too late
Because we're broken and
Snapped into pieces
Like useless rubber bands
After all
There is no point in keeping
A toy
Once it's lost its luster

I like it a lot. Its sad but it has layered meanings.
