I'm almost at this part in the actual story. Like, three paragraphs. She, as apprentice to Damos the oracle, went into the inlands to interpret a vision that plagues their leader. When the cats see that Damos has an apprentice, they ask if she has had any vision. So she closes her eyes and narrates what she sees: Boka (that cat in the second and fourth panels who seems kinda randomly placed) being engulfed by darkness. Turns out, that's the same vision the leader and Damos had, so Damos tell her to hush up, because she's frightening the other inlanders, pretty much confirming Boka's death. (Although it happens MUCH later.)
