This was not my favorite piece of the day, mostly because I am no good at drawing mechanical structures,aka the chair. You'll notice in most of my artwork, I will avoid drawing backgrounds or objects because I don't feel as though I'm any good at them. We were given about 35 minutes for this piece and I'm fairly okay with the shading and figure. However, I will admit that the figure looks more awkward than I was actually seeing, so something may be off, I'm looking for suggestions.

My first instinct would be to say the angle, but I know from life drawing experience that you can sometimes get people saying "well that's completely the wrong angle!" and it is ACTUALLY what you could see from where you were sitting...
So I would say maybe a little more work on the leg, it's a bit 'blocky' from half way down the calf down. If you cover up the leg *does so with hand* maybe it kinda makes it look a little better?? I dunno, see what you think.
Btw, for someone who doesn't like mechanical objects, that chair is pretty darn good. :)
