Dragon I made out of clay. I have some pics with a lightbulb so you can compare the size. He's big. ): He used up a lot of Super Sculpey. His whole body is filled with tinfoil, so he's not too dense, but I couldn't position him very nicely. Consider him copyrighted to me.

Just some amusing things:
I did the eye by making an ident with a mechanical pencil then doing all the wrinkles and shaping with a safety pin.
I used the safety pin and some string to make the lines around the horns- I would wrap the string around, tug at it in a few directions so it would leave an indent, then used the safety pin to make them deeper.
For the spikes, I actually attached a ridge along the back, then cut it and shaped it with my fingers instead of attaching each spike individually.
I was originally only going to do the head.
The thighs are hollow.
His chest, stomach, and hips are solid tinfoil with maybe three millimeters of clay over them at their thinnest spots.
For the hands and feet, I flattened out the ends of clay 'coils' and cut the fingers out, then shaped them.
I worked on the head for maybe two hours, then I spent probably 4-6 on the body. But to use Sculpey, you have to use the warmth from your hands to soften it, and I was impatient, so I'd roll big chunks around in my palms to try to get more to warm up faster. After four-6 hours of that, though, my palms turned purple, my fingers were pink, and there were red spots in the soft parts of my palms where I actually had some slight internal bleeding. I couldn't fall asleep that night and my hands and arms hurt for three days, the first day to the point that I couldn't really use them. xD;; All better now, though.
